And I'm Off!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Just a little reminder that I am on vacation, there will not be Stitch and Bitch Wednesday, July 16th. I hope to make great progress on my Flower Child sweater, which was going just fine until I encountered the bobbles. Did I mention it's a new technique for me? I've knitted hundreds of bobbles, I've never encountered a half double CROCHET bobble. So far, we're not hitting it off, AT ALL. I was hoping to avoid tinking, I had Martha and Emily take a look at it, I had no choice. I hope that after taking out one more row, I'll be able to get back to that first bobble and crochet it without issue. Just so we're clear, the pattern support is fantastic, it offers video tutorials that holds your hand through each step. I made the mistake of trying to decipher the written instructions and illustrations on the pattern, late at night. Need I say more? Well, yes I do. I finally decided to watch the video after I'd made such a mess of my beautiful lacey yoke. No joke, they suggested trying this on a swatch and not your sweater if you're not familiar with this technique. Why on Earth would I do that? Good thing I am a master stitch fixer because I did a number on that one stitch. Stay tuned...
