Did You Say, Summer?

Good Morning Everyone!
It's funny to think, on the first day of June I was trying to figure out how heavy of a wool sweater to wear. Do you remember? It was 47 degrees and raining, technically, still Spring. Well, I guess it's safe to say, we've successfully transitioned to Summer, MY GAWD IS IT HOT!!!. Am I complaining? Of course I am, I hate this! I think the only person I know, who might actually be enjoying this, is Meg, my Californian friend, she loves hot...I am doing the best I can to stay cool, unfortunately that means barricading myself inside and pulling the shades. No easy feat considering it had reached 75 degrees at 5:30 a.m. when Bernie and I went out for our walk. Needless to say, we didn't go far or for too long, we were both a hot mess in a matter of minutes. But hey, it's not snowing!!
I have a few reminders for you, this Saturday, June 28th, the KAL gals are meeting. PLEASE BRING YOUR ELISE PULLOVER, finished or not. We will be Zooming with Kirsten Ascanius, the designer, and she'd love to see our sweaters. If you are unable to attend, will you send me a picture wearing your sweater? Our next KAL is scheduled to start on July 26th, most of us have decided to knit the Florence Sweater by Elenor Mortensen. Junction Fiber Mills worked with the designer to create this sweater for Rhinebeck. My thought was we will knit them and wear them to VT Sheep and Wool AND/OR Rhinebeck. Originally we had discussed knitting the Renaissance sweater, this is still an option, please let me know if you're interested in joining the next KAL.
The Great Northern Yarn Haul is beginning on July 1st and runs until July 31st. I have passports printed and received a limited amount of bags. We are still determining which day we will be going on our annual road trip. It's typically on a Wednesday, most shops are open allowing us to visit as many as possible. I will let you know the date ASAP!! This is always a lot of fun, there are several new shops listed which I am excited to see. I can't believe that July is next week, crazy!!
Andra was here last Thursday. Guess what I did? I got to see all of the BEAUTIFUL NEW YARNS AND PATTERNS for Fall/Winter 2025-26!!! I am super excited I was able to order the yarn for this year's Advent Calendar, yes, Carrie already has me thinking about it. I have samples of the yarns and the latest Look Book for you to see, just you wait!! We also scheduled a HUGE trunk show, Wednesday September 24th, so you can not only see the yarns, but garments. This is always a lot of fun, you can try on sweaters, see the yarn and of course, BUY!!!
I'm keeping this short and sweet, I have zero motivation or creativity when the humidity decides to bombard my happy little world. We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!
