Good Morning Everyone!

What an incredible weekend! As if the weekend wasn't exciting enough, celebrating Addie's incredible accomplishments at UVM, my CANADIENS advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals for the Stanley Cup, it's been a long time coming. I am a huge hockey fan, I even have two teams, which allows me double the knitting time (not that I need an excuse). It has been a dream of mine to have the Avalanche play the Canadiens for the Cup. Talk about having your cake and eating it too, I'd be thrilled either way, but ultimately would love to see Montreal bring home the Cup. So now they just need to skate past the Hurricanes to face the mighty Avalanche (hoping they beat Vegas), Addie was in Montreal yesterday and said the energy was incredible, Habs shirts everywhere, outdoor TV screens broadcasting the game. I warned her it would be a little crazy up there, they take their hockey very seriously. Fingers crossed it comes down to my favorite teams...

I've been working on my Forest Light sweater exclusively, and time is running out for me to decide what to cast on next. I'm thinking it's going to have to be another Jenn Steingass, Thistlewood. I bought the yarn for it when I visited Mont Tricot with Claudia. But it may be time for a cabled sweater, there's no rule against casting on both. I'm actually feeling quite overwhelmed, I received the latest Laine, which always has me drooling, Or maybe Isabell Kraemer's Ooh la la, I could use another summer sweater. This rabbit hole just gets deeper and deeper, there's no escaping, hello my name is Alice.

I was able to visit Lucinda and Julie at Mont Tricot's FRIENDSHIP DAY, it was a last minute decision to go. I'd already planned on being closed to attend a graduation ceremony that Addie decided she didn't want to go to. I was super excited to wear my Something On Your Raglan tee, the weather could not have been more ideal. A big shout out to both Lucinda and Julie for not only the friendship, but for the continued support in helping promote my business. Lucinda graciously featured me in several of her posts, kindly referring to What A Yarn as her sister shop. We go back a long way, I've been a big supporter of her shop for over 10 years, introducing many of my customers to her. In a world that feels completely surreal and divided, I am thankful for the uniqueness of this fiber community I've worked so hard to create. Thanks to Kathleen for deciding I was more fun to hang out with than collecting kindling, it's the little things...

A little reminder that KAL is this Saturday, May 23rd 9-11:00. I'm guessing many of you are pretty close to finishing up. We need to decide what's next, should we do a shawl? We haven't done one since the eclipse, there's been discussion of the Ooey Gooey Socks...thoughts? I am completely open to suggestion, there's no shortage of inspiration, so let's find something fun to do! We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday 6-7:30, for Stitch and Bitch. I'm not sure if the weather will cooperate for us to gather outside, fingers crossed. At any rate, thanks for taking the time to read this and for your continued support. Make it a great day and I hope to see you soon!

Katy
