It Only Took 6 1/2 Weeks...

Good Morning Everyone!

Well, it looks like Spring has finally arrived. It only took 6 1/2 weeks, but who's counting? I love watching the landscape wake up from a long, cold, wintery sleep. What's even better? IT'S NOT DARK AT 5:30 A.M. OR P.M!!!! We've turned the corner, the trout lilies and trillium have completely carpeted the forest floor, the canopy of leaves are beginning to unfurl, and the mud is drying up. The shift to warmer, longer days finally feels like a reality. Ok, Mother Nature, don't let me down...

Wait until you see what I received from Juniper Moon Farm, Cumulus Matisse! It's GORGEOUS! I've been looking for variegated yarns, this one does not disappoint. The colors I chose remind me of the Impressionist paintings done by Claude Monet, specifically his water lilies (my favorites). Of course this means I have another shop sample to knit up, BOO-HOO, I know! The trials and tribulations of owning a yarn shop are just never ending, so much knitting and so little time. But you all know just how dedicated I am to my shop, and will gladly put aside my household responsibilities in order to knit up a lovely shop sample. The sacrifice is real...

You'll be excited to know, I also have Berroco's Handpainted Vintage arriving. This yarn adds a colorful twist to the Vintage family we all love. These tonal colorways are stunning on their own or paired up to add extra flair to the classic and heathered Vintage shades. The shipment will be here soon, along with a huge restock of Vintage. Just a little reminder about handpainted yarns, each one is unique and can vary from one hank to the next (think Malabrigo kettle dyes). The recommendation is to alternate hanks in your project to blend any variations. I will certainly let you know when it arrives!

I've been working away on my Forest Light by Jenn Steingass, it is so ORANGE lol. I am almost ready to start the colorwork, I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE IT, POP! I've had to put my Something on Your Raglan on hold until I can get more beads. Interestingly enough, my friend Leslie reached out to see if I needed anything from our good friend Lucinda, SERENDIPITY!! I really didn't want to drive all the way up there for 80 beads, I would though, and was planning to tomorrow. Thank-you, Leslie for the generous offer, because we all know I would have left with more than just those 80 beads, bullet dodged...

In case you forgot, the Hat of the Month Club for MAY is available!! The knit version is a lovely cabled hat and the crochet version is the cutest bucket hat complete with a flower! The crochet hat would be fantastic in Cumulus and Cumulus Matisse (just sayin'). So stop by and pick out your yarn, these hats are the perfect "go to" project when you need something to keep your hands and mind occupied.

We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch, I hope you can join in the fun. If it's nice again, we'll be outside, so bring a chair and dress accordingly. Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!

Katy
