Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, it was nice having Addie home and spending time together. I am still processing the fantastic Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, I was completely overwhelmed by all of the support. It means the world to me that so many of you depend on my little business. I know it's a business, but having you be a part of it makes it feel so very special, that's how I measure my success. Thank-you for reminding me that what I do makes a difference, sometimes I lose sight of this and truly wonder if anyone would care if I shut the doors. I am lucky to be part of this wonderful community, we've built it together and I couldn't do it without each and every one of you.

I've been cruising along on my Halibut sweater, I about killed my pointer finger with all of the knitting I've been doing. I managed to bust open the callous forcing me to wrap it up in a bandaid (highly recommend Nexcare clear waterproof, unpaid promotion). Getting past the colorwork and dividing the front and back is my unspoken sign to cast something else on. The monotony of knitting 230 stitches for 8" on size 6 needles is only good for watching hockey. I was going to cast on the Forest Light by Jenn Steingass, but the colorwork is around the bottom and the sleeves. I decided that I wanted something with texture, I haven't done a cabled sweater in awhile, the Downeast by Alicia Plummer got my attention. It calls for bulky, it will knit up quickly, likely for Christmas. I picked Juniper Moon Farms La Pampa in RED!! Yes, Margie, RED!! Admittedly, I had to set it aside last night, I was having trouble understanding exactly what to do. I actually figured it out this morning while I was walking in the woods with Bernie, at least I think I have. If all else fails, I'll ask Kathleen, she's already knit one.

Andra is stopping by today to show me all of the exciting new Spring/Summer collections from Berroco, YAY!! I will have lots to share tomorrow evening during Stitch and Bitch. We will be casting on the Chit Chat Hat for the final Christmas KAL tomorrow evening. This hat has quickly become my new favorite, I need to make another one so I can have one that isn't in the shop. Please bring size 5 & 6 16" circulars, I know I am out of #6 they are on order. If you don't have them, I can show you a nifty trick (not magic loop) to get you through. If you want to learn magic loop, I can help with that too. I do have a couple of Advent Calendars available, so far, the response has been awesome, it has been 2 days now, lol...Sue has already opened the entire thing, she won't spoil anything, she never does. Carrie and I put a lot of effort into finding the best little notions and gadgets. I think the project is INCREDIBLE!!! The yarn is nothing you've worked with before and you will have the opportunity to up your skill set and learn some interesting stitches.

We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day, enjoy this beautiful snowfall, and I'll see you soon!

Katy
