Good Morning Everyone!

So, what do you do when the hope of warmer days is squashed? Thanks a lot Phil, KNIT MORE SWEATERS!! Yup, that's exactly what I've been doing, hats too...I finished my Nola Cloche and Cold Hearts Hat. My Barley Field Slipover is done, I love it! Of course the big decision was what to cast on next...Admittedly, this became more of a challenge than I was anticipating, it's always so difficult figuring out what goes on to the needles next. I have picked up my Brookline sweater again, but with winter still hanging on, I decided I had plenty of time to crank out another winter sweater, possibly two. The Harvester by Jenn Steingass is in progress, I've been a bit obsessed, I'm almost finished with the color work, I think it has to do with the yarn, VENTO!! If you haven't had the pleasure of working with this yarn, I have some in stock, it's been discontinued, once it's gone, it's gone. There are so many possibilities, an Ooey Gooey is still calling my name, paired up with Marla, ooh, la, la....I'm never short on ideas, which honestly comes from being completely overwhelmed with what to knit next. Despite only casting on the Harvester, I have my Forest Light sweater sitting in a project bag ready to get worked into the queue. UGH!!! SO MANY SWEATERS....

Have no fear, I always find something that is soft and delightful, wait until you get your hands on Beatrix by Juniper Moon Farms, OMG!! Carla has been quoted as saying, "this knits like butter." Carrie has been cruising along on her new Snowflake sweater in black and white. This luxurious blend of Angora and Merino is bulky but lightweight, it is incredibly SOFT, I need a sweater, serious FOMO has kicked in. Carla likely has her cardigan just about finished, she's bringing it Wednesday to Stitch and Bitch so we can all see how fabulous this yarn is. If you're looking for a quick knit, this is the yarn for you! In response to our recent obsession with RED, I received a lovely order from Malabrigo, more Rios in not only red, but a nice restock of their vibrant, kettle dyed merino. A big thank-you to all of you who have participated in knitting Melt The Ice hats, just WOW!

I know this is a tad short, I am so excited to pick up my knitting, I can barely think of anything else. My coffee is finished, Bernie is resting after his run through the woods and my sweater(s) are vying for my attention, I'm caving in...Time to turn on the Olympics and do a few rows. We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!

Katy
