Good Morning Everyone!
Three weeks ago we had a blanket of snow on the ground, I have proof! Today, we're getting ready for day number 3 of weather that closely resembles, I'll say it, SUMMER!! I still won't become overly optimistic, but I will allow myself to completely live in the moment and enjoy every drop of sunshine Mother Nature is providing. That said, I've been knitting away on my Fleurine sweater very comfortably perched on my glider, life is good. I figure if the boss is going to make me work on my days off knitting shop samples, I may as well multi-task and get a healthy dose of vitamin D. It's also the perfect opportunity to mention just how much I love my Maker's Board, seriously this thing is a total game changer. It's completely transportable and makes knitting al fresco an absolute breeze. It has made Intarsia knitting fun, shocking I know, I'm barely irritated by those stupid little bobbins dangling and twisting. I did decide to make my life a tad bit easier by choosing to only use two bobbins instead of five. I figured my Fleurine did not stand a chance of survival if I continued down my original path. The solution was simple, I'm carrying the MC along the back of the flowers, easy peasy. And as usual, I did it my way...
Now that we're full into Spring and beautiful sunshiney days, guess what I'm doing today?? I'll give you a hint, it starts with the letter A and rhymes with Uganda...I'm meeting with ANDRA to pick out my Fall and Winter inventory, YAY!!! If I didn't love yarn so much, I'd be completely annoyed, I'm much more of a "live in the moment" type of gal, but being in retail forces me to think an entire season ahead. I could let it suck the wind out of my sails, we literally just put winter to bed and I'm already entertaining thoughts of what I will be knitting by the end of summer. Just think, there's only 229 days until Christmas, guess I better figure out what you'll all be needing now, YOU ARE WELCOME!!!
We will be meeting tomorrow evening from 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch. I think it's safe to say we will be outside, it's going to be absoultely gorgeous, bring your camping chairs. I will be sporting my newly completed MACRAME chair, it's AMAZING!!! Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!
