Good Morning Everyone!

Don't be fooled, before you know it, winter will be here! And guess what is 4 days after the official start of winter? CHRISTMAS!! It's going to come quickly, the snow is already letting you know that the holidays are on our doorstep. Truth be told, I wasn't expecting this, my mums and pumpkins were still looking hearty and rather Fall-ish. Nothing like a snowstorm to give you a reality check, works for me. It's difficult to ignore this significant change in the weather, it is November afterall. I better go get my turkey...

I have been busy knitting up a storm, what else is new, I know. It is so exciting to get new yarns and to see how wonderfully they knit up, the sacrifice is real. I told you last week about a cozy little cashmere blend called Rozena, it is delightful. I ordered it specifically for gifts (ideally to give, but you may change your mind), something a little extra special with that cashmere softness. I then decided it could be even better if I added some sparkle to it, viola, Paillettes! I made the Pull The Wool Over hat, and let me tell you, it's super cute! What an amazing gift! I have (5) lovely colors in stock, and if you can't decide on which one, take two or three or four or all five, NO JUDGEMENT...

I also received a restock of Moonshine worsted, it has been so popular. So popular that I decided to bring in it's sweet little sister, Moonshine Fine. It is the same luxurious blend of merino, alpaca and silk but in fingering weight. It is beautiful on it's own or it will pair up quite nicely with the (8) bags of Aerial mohair that is coming from Berroco. It was definitely time for a restock, I have sold a ton of mohair thanks to Elizabeth Smith's latest design, Triple Time. I will be knitting another one, I need one with different colored strands of mohair. I've wound a couple gorgeous combinations already, I can't wait to see how they knit up. I have done all of this while Carrie was floatin' on a boat in the Bahamas, lol. She's not even going to recognize the shop, I've moved EVERYTHING!!! I am so glad she's back and safe in one piece, phew.

I am soooo close to finally finishing my Shifty 2.0 I'm cruising along on sleeve #2, it's going quick! It would have been finished by now had I not been sidetracked with knitting (2) other sweaters, casting on my Halibut, 4 hats and mittens. WOW, that is a lot of knitting! Did I mention the mittens? They've been in queue for so long, the yarn is sadly discontinued. THANK GOD FOR SUBSTITUTES!!! I knit up the Arc mittens using Providence (disc) held with Aerial, any guess what color they are? It takes an incredible amount of time to create all of these shop samples, good thing they fit me! There are lots of beautiful new yarns, ALL WITH YOU IN MIND! Carrie and I have also created many new kits to hopefully help you along with your holiday gifts.

Speaking of holiday gifts, tomorrow evening during Stitch and Bitch, we will be hosting the second Christmas KAL. You can still attend even if you're not wanting to make an adorable ornament and learn how to create jogless stripes. I took it another step making them even more adorable, if you want to know, you'll just have to come in and see. It is only $15 and includes the materials to make two, the fun is FREE! The pattern is https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/christmas-caramel The next Christmas KAL will be December 3rd, we'll be making the Chit Chat hat, I have a sample already knit up. I will say this, the decrease is beautiful, I absolutely love how the crown encompasses the design. I'm predicting a few outcomes, the first being, it's too cute to give away (it most certainly is). The second, it's so much fun to knit, I can't stop with just one. The third falls somewhere in between. At any rate, the goal was to help you with your holiday gift giving and to avoid the awful feeling I seem to get every year, WHERE DID THE TIME GO? No doubt I procrastinate, this year, something is in the water. I have the Advent Calendars 95% done, you read that right!!! I am getting another delivery tomorrow and I have a few little details to attend to. There are still a few available if you would like to reserve yours, they are $150.00.

We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!

Katy
