The Feels Of Fall...

Good Morning Everyone!
This month has been a whirlwind, I cannot believe that it is already the end of October! I think what surprised me the most was how beautiful the foliage STILL IS. I had no idea it would last this long and become so vibrant. It feels incredibly late, is it just me? I had prepared myself for a less than colorful Fall after a disappointing drive to VT Sheep and Wool at the beginning of the month. The trees were dull brown and dead, everything was so shriveled up, it was disturbing to see what the drought had done. I concluded we were headed in the same direction, afterall, the lake was so low we could walk to Mosquito Island from Kill Kare without getting your feet wet. Who'd have thought that a few cold, rainy days would coax the colors out to their full potential. What an absolute gift to live here (remind me in March).
So Carrie is getting ready to take off for two weeks, I have no idea how I am going to survive this. She's been trying to get me prepared by overwhelming me with everything I need to do while she is gone. Thank God one of us is organized...November is going to be SO MUCH FUN!! We've brought back MYSTERY BOXES, you heard it here first. We are also hosting the second Christmas KAL Wednesday 11/12 6-7:30 (during Stitch and Bitch) Christmas Caramel Candy tree ornaments, you'll learn how to do jogless stripes $15. I have put new kits together, INCLUDING 2 FOR CROCHET!! I am almost finished with the sample for December's holiday KAL 12/3 the Chit Chat Hat, it is so cute and fun to make! And rumor has it, JULIE ASSELIN is planning a trip down to host a Book Show, stay tuned for the date. Now is the time to reserve your Advent Calendar $150, they are super cute, I've already started putting everything together. There are 24 days of presents, you may open at your own discretion, I found some awesome things!! Hopefully there's one leftover for me lol...
My Shifty 2.0 has been patiently waiting for me to pick her back up. She's not going to be too happy to learn there's a good chance The Halibut sweater is going on the needles. I haven't committed yet, there are several possibilities. The orange mohair is super tempting too, I have a Jenn Steingass pattern in the bag with the yarn. I'm giving my "yarn" cupboard the side eye, knowing the possibilities that lie within. As if that wasn't enough, did you happen to see Wool & Pine's latest hat pattern, Bindle? Talk about a stash buster, I just had to have that pattern. I'm getting anxiety just thinking about all the "things" no wonder my house is so dusty (honestly blame the dog). Stay tuned, I'll be posting the next cast on(s) ASAP (I may have to do 2 if I can't decide).
We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday 6-7:30, for Stitch and Bitch, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!
Katy
