Good Morning Everyone!
This is a question my friend Mary frequently asks. She wanted full credit for coining the phrase, so I Googled it. Sorry Mary, it's been claimed, but I feel your use of it is a bit more clever and definitely a conversation starter. So my current Stitchuation involves diligently working on my Windrock Sweater, planning my next cast-on (Autumn Alpine, sorry Forest Light) all before dedicating myself to the Fall KAL, Morning Rituals. I may have time to squeeze in another Emotional Support Chicken. Enough about me, I've got so much AWESOME NEWS TO SHARE!!!
Where do I start??? OMG I love this time of year, new yarns start arriving, Fall is just around the corner (MY FAVORITE SEASON!!!) I received two more boxes from Berroco on Saturday! Inside I found my GORGEOUS GRAVES CARDIGAN IN MILLSTONE TWEED, it is stunning! I also have a complete restock of Lanas Light with BRAND NEW COLORS!!! I know, so many exclamation points, but I'm extremely excited this morning and so much to say. The Lanas Light will go perfectly with a new yarn I will be bringing into the shop immediately, DRUMROLL..... Junction Fiber Mills, Making Tracks and Making Tracks Light. Many of you have seen my Pressed Flowers Cardigan, I used the DK weight to create the lovely flowers. They just developed the Sport weight version, IT IS BEAUTIFUL!! I bought (4) hanks of it last week, 2 different colorways, one of them will be used to knit my Autumn Alpine Sweater https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/autumn-alpine If you'd like to see it, stop on by.
We had a fun time this past Saturday for KAL, lots of ESC on the needles and I'm really excited that (5) more were dropped off, THANK-YOU!!!! I have reached out to Julie Asselin to see if she would be able to send me just a little snippet of each color of her Boucle. She did tell me that the colors she sent via PDF were a better representation of the colors than what appears on her website. I know it's extremely challenging looking at colors this way, it is an occupational hurdle I face almost daily. One of my friends is taking a road trip up to Mont Tricot so she can see the colors in person, sounds like a great excuse to get out of Dodge. Any information I receive will be forwarded to you ASAP, stay tuned....
I had the pleasure of hanging out at Carla's house yesterday afternoon, it was the perfect way to finish my day. Carrie and Mary joined us, we had a lovely time chatting, knitting and eating by her pool. Carla has offered to host our "Knitter's Anonymous" meetings at her house the second Monday of each month, ALL ARE WELCOME. I love knitting, I love knitting with friends even more, so if you're interested in a little road trip, I'm happy to have Carrie organize it LOL!! Kidding, please let me know....
I have a restock from Cocoknits, Malabrigo, and Fox & Pine (Notion Nooks) all arriving this week. Carrie and I will be busy rearranging the shop, I'm never quite sure how she manages to get everything to fit. Carrie & I are going on an adventure tomorrow all the way to Highgate to judge the Knitting category for Franklin County Field Days. I can't wait to see the entries, I've never been asked to judge anything, although you know how easily I give my opinion lol. We'll have much to talk about tomorrow evening, Wednesday, at Stitch and Bitch which is from 6-7:30, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!
Katy
