Your Reminder...

Good Morning Everyone!

Although I haven't officially posted the reminder yet, many of you already know the shop will be closed this week, my Dad's funeral and burial are scheduled for Thursday and Friday. This also means that we will not be meeting Wednesday evening for Stitch and Bitch. This doesn't mean that I don't have all kinds of fun announcements to make.

I had a lovely Zoom meeting with the ever talented Iris Schreier, creator of Artyarns. This happened in response to the post I tagged her in of my Thistlewood sweater. She said she'd love to get some of her yarn into my shop, I agreed! Her Merino Cloud is pure luxury and is a delight to work with. I decided to pair it with a beautiful skein of her hand painted Beaded & Sequin silk mohair to create the thistles. What I thought was going to be red, has actually knit up into shades of pink that go from very light to hot. IT IS GORGEOUS!! Most of the time I'm pretty good at seeing exactly how the yarn will knit up, this is a show stopper. Get ready, I've ordered some beautiful new yarns, they should be here in about (2) weeks.

Mark your calendars, Saturday, October 24th is MALABRIGO DAY! I received the most incredible box of goodies from them to help celebrate. The best part, THERE WILL BE RAFFLES!!! It's super easy to enter, simply take a photo or video, tag @malabrigoyarns & @whatayarn, and use #MalabrigoDay and #MalabrigoFit to join in. They have sent packets of FREE patterns and fun little gadgety goodies to mark the occasion. I, in turn, have ordered some "new to the shop" yarns and did a restock of the Rios. For those of you who knit the Schieffelin years ago or Killer Queen Cowl, this would be the perfect venue to show off you wares.

Make it a great day, and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Katy
