Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Don't hate me, but I have nothing to say...JOKING!!! Admitedly, there isn't going to be much drama today, I haven't received any messages of distress or pleas begging for my sage advice. What's going on? I don't trust the silence. That said, perhaps you're all feeding off my strong, positive knitting energy. Following my lead of confident knitting when the yarn doesn't tangle, the stitches slide perfectly and the pattern is written in plain English. When the little voice in your head says, "What would Katy do?" and you hear the answer, clear as a bell, that is real power LOL...As much as I would like to believe that my influence transcends verbal communication, deep down, my ego knows better. It's enough for me to know that my flock of knitters are all progressing without incident on their projects, present company included.

I was hoping that my Pressed Flowers Cardigan would be finished by now, but I got a little sidetracked with a hat project. You'd have thought that nothing could deter me from my goal of finishing that sweater BEFORE Andra, but she knits incredibly fast, holy shit. Taking this into consideration, I still thought I had a snowball's chance in hell of at least keeping up with her, big fat NOPE! She's been keeping me posted with lots of pictures. She'll have her sleeve started and then and hour later she's finished, I've managed to get through one and a half repeats of the chart in the same amount of time. OMG, it's not a contest if I'm not winning, we all know this, but I'm not exactly a slow knitter either. She even fueled the fire by telling me that she's knitting a different size that has more stitches, it will take her longer to complete a row than me. Somehow her attempt to make me feel like I'm good enough to hang with the cool kids was simply a mirage. She's just crushing me LOL. The good news is, we will both have beautiful sweaters to flaunt when all is said and done, she'll just be able to enjoy hers a little longer. Then I get to work on my Drawing Sweater which I think she finished in 2 weeks, UGH....it will take me 2 weeks to figure out how to read the charts.

Carrie and I were busy last week moving things around and finding space for some of the NEW SPRING/SUMMER inventory that has started to arrive. I have put out the Remix Light and Pima Soft along with the new pattern books. It's hard to believe that we are halfway through February already and now is the time to start knitting up those cute little tops, it's going to be 50+ degrees tomorrow, HEATWAVE!!! Good thing too, my furnace decided it no longer wanted to keep me warm in my shop, bugger! It handed in it's resignation on Friday, we're trying to bribe it with the promise of a new part. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid we will have to part ways. I have space heaters that are doing their job so that nothing freezes in there, especially ME. So far, so good, I will have Stitch and Bitch tomorrow evening, and plan on having regular shop hours. I will let you know if something changes, but I have an arsenal of warm sweaters at my disposal and plan on not only looking stylish, but staying warm.

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! I hope Cupid showers you with gifts of chocolate and flowers. If not, feel free to over indulge in yarn lol. We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday, from 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!

Katy
