Good Morning Everyone!

Summer is just blowing by, I can't believe it's the end of July and Addie will be back at UVM in a month, WOW!! I have been enjoying myself to say the very least, lots of adventures, new yarn, new projects to knit and upcoming events. Can you stand it?? Last week I spent a couple days up in Quebec, taking advantage of the exchange rate and of course, BUYING MORE YARN!! Lucky for me, little trips like this often times crossover into "work", tough job I know. I purchased some beautiful yarn from Lucinda at Mont Tricot to knit Caitlin Hunter's latest design, Alpine Bloom. The colors are completely out of my wheelhouse, which honestly excites me. What's even more exciting is, due to Instagram, when I tagged Woolerton Estates Yarn, they reached out to me to see if I'd like samples of their yarn. Needless to say, I will be meeting with them August 15th and cannot wait to meet them! I'll just tease you a bit, the yarn I purchased is called The Exotic, it's Alpaca, Silk and Linen, ooh, la, la is it GORGEOUS!!!

I also received a HUGE box from Berroco last week. I'll be posting the videos starting today, wait until you see what I have, Carousel, Spree Solids and Vento! What's even more amazing? Carrie found room for it all!!! The shop looks terrific, I'm slowly getting ready for the next season which means, the summer inventory needs to go. Stay tuned, I'll let you know when the big sale is going to start on Isola, Gaia, Paradise, & Summer Sesame. I love that the pattern support for the summer yarns is interchangeable, you can make the same cute top from a variety of yarns. Wanda wore her Zeen Top last week, she knit hers in Summer Sesame, SO PRETTY!! I've seen lots of Patti tanks knit up in a variety of yarns as well. Let your sense of adventure and creativity guide you, it's so much fun!!

So I shared Andra's post yesterday, she not only finished her Avalon Sweater, she finished the Galatee Sweater, I'm still not done with my Avalon lol...I had a huge headstart too. There was a bit of salt in the wound, but Andra is super gracious and commented back to me, "we make each other better." which was something she would say even if she didn't need a favor from me. I had mentioned to her that Berroco sent me a Tyanna Cowl shop sample, I already knit one in Carousel. I washed and blocked it and promptly put it in a mailer and sent it to Heavenly Yarns in Belfast, ME. Apparently they didn't receive a shop sample and Andra realized I had two and asked me if I would mind sending it to Helen. I am all about the Karma and at the very least, the community of yarn shops is special, Andra has made us friends. We follow each other on Social Media, share ideas and benefit from referring others to their shops, isn't that what it's all about?

A couple more things then I gotta go, Carrie is picking me up at 9:30 to go Yarn Hauling with Susan and Sandy, YAY!!! Andra will be here for an incredible TRUNK SHOW September 6th during our regular Stitch and Bitch, DO NOT MISS IT! In addition to the Magical Midnight garments that will be featured by Berroco, Andra will have several of her model garments with her, namely BIG LOVE. If you want to preorder an Advent Calendar box, the deadline for the order and payment is August 15th. They are so cute, I can't stand it!! I received several of the surprises from Prince Edward Island last week, OMG! The cost is $160.50 which includes the tax.

We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday from 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day, I'll see you soon!

Katy
