Good Morning Everyone!

So far, Spring has not disappointed, I've been able to wear my two new sweaters!! Nothing like a nice little snow storm to seal the deal and make the day memorable. Two can play that game, I have sweaters for every season and a wide range of temperatures, it is Vermont afterall. With the temperature swings we experience, within a 24 hour period, isn't nice to know you have the perfect sweater? I know I sleep much better at night, well at least until 4:30...Bernie has not been fooled by the time change, I can't wait until it's light out at 5:00 a.m. AND 5:00 p.m.

I've started working on my Clara sweater, the next KAL, it is an exercise in knitting origami. I guess I've more than started, I'm kind of cruising along, it wasn't my intention to get this far ahead. I wanted to be sure I understood what was going on in case there needed to be further explanation. Guess what? No one else has decided to make this with me, yet...If what usually happens, happens, once the top is complete, it will generate inspiration. My Brookline has certainly created some interest, even with my modified neckline, there are currently (3) who are working on it. If you would like to knit the Brookline as your KAL project, it will aid in honing your multitasking capabilities to be able to count rows, track increases/decreases while cabling. There are many of you that selected The Honeymist, which I may end up doing as well. I have ordered Juniper Moon Farm, Cumulus, a worsted weight cotton, in a variety of lovely colors. I will let you know when it arrives. We do have KAL this Saturday, March 28th 9-11:00, I am excited to see everyone's progress on their vests. I know that Karen and Sandy have finished theirs and several are close, if you can, wear your vest.

The Hat of the Month Club has been very popular, I love seeing everyone's hats! Best of all, you will have a gorgeous collection of hats to give as gifts. It also allows you to pick colors that perhaps you normally wouldn't, to explore other color combinations and fibers. I have discovered that making hats allows you to attempt a new stitch or technique on a much smaller scale. It's much more forgiving to try colorwork on a hat with 100 stitches versus a sweater. It is also a lot more economical if you're only investing in 1-2 skeins of yarn and not 5-7ish. If you're interested in learning a new technique, give the Hat of the Month Club a try, wait until you see April's!!!

We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday, 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!

Katy
