T-363...

Good Morning Everyone!

Is it too early to start counting the days until Christmas? I think so too, especially since I haven't put away the evidence from this year yet. I don't enjoy taking down the decorations, I love how festive the house looks, I don't even mind that the tree is shedding more than Bernie. I count my blessings that our pets have no interest in climbing the tree, pulling ornaments off the tree, peeing on the tree...I've seen some hysterically funny videos, mostly about cat owners, trying to outsmart their cats in order to keep their trees intact and vertical. I'm surprised that Bernie hasn't knocked it over while in pursuit of Marvin who likes to run and hide on the radiator directly behind the tree. The cat is stealthy, Bernie, not so much...We did have to wait until very late on Christmas Eve to put the presents under the tree, most of you know how much Bernie LOVES boxes and paper. He was just like a typical two year old Christmas morning, his interest was in the wrapping paper and boxes, he was in heaven. Santa was very good to me, he brought me a subscription to Laine Magazine and 52 Weeks of Easy Knits. I've been wanting the magazine for awhile, Wanda introduced it to Kathleen and I a few years ago. It is a beautiful publication, it's probably a good thing it doesn't come monthly, I'd go straight out of my mind.

I finished my Odila pullover, I'm actually wearing it now. Can I say, SUPER @#$%&! CUTE! OMG this has more bang for it's buck than I thought possible. I absolutely LOVE it knit up in Ultra Alpaca Chunky Naturals, but it would be adorable in Wizard, Mecha, Lanas Quick, or Remix Chunky. I improvised and did the pocket differently because I'm me LOL...I picked up stitches on the front and knit the pocket but I couldn't figure out how to attach the live stitches at the top so I bound them off and whip stitched them, looks pretty good. I'm most impressed with the fact that you can't tell where I picked up the stitches, it's absolutely seamless. I really wanted the top to look as good, but it certainly doesn't look bad. THANK-YOU Andra for the suggestion, I would have never thought to make this little pullover without you telling me I should. It's so cozy and just the perfect layering piece for a lovely snowy day like today....

I'm inches away from finishing my Emsworth vest, I am absolutely in love with everything about it. The texture is stunning, Isabell Kraemer is simply one of my favorite designers, but the yarn, oooh la la. Alpaca and silk doesn't disappoint, the feel of it, the fabric it creates, I wish I'd bought more of it!!! I need to figure out what I'll be casting on next, SO MANY CHOICES!! I'll likely get two started, I can't have just one project going. Let me refrain that, two sweaters and a small project like a new pair of fingerless gloves perhaps. I'm extremely tempted to cast on a Drawing Sweater, have you seen Andra's?? I could have 2 floral sweaters going, Pressed Flowers and Drawing Sweater, but I really want a cable project too, maybe Caitlin Hunter's White Horse. UGH!!! What to do???? I realize this is the epitome of first world problems, and it seems rather trivial in the grand scheme of things, but for me, it's an occupational hazzard.

I guess I should wrap things up, I've taken up enough of your time and my coffee is gone. I will be open this week Thursday and Friday 10-5:00 and Saturday 10-2:00 and in an effort to lighten up my inventory how about 20% off everything but consignment. We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday, from 6-7:30 for our LAST STITCH AND BITCH OF 2022, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!
