Cruising Into Summer...

Good Morning Everyone!

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Addie's graduation, little smarty pants, Magna Cum Laude. She always works hard and is prepared for the next chapter to start, UVM this Fall. Interestingly enough, there's a Knitting and Crochet Club at UVM which she has informed me she'll be looking into, hmmm. She had an extremely serious case of Senioritis the last 2 weeks of school and was forced to spend many hours on the porch with me crocheting, poor kid, thankfully she's all better with that diploma in her possession.

Last Saturday was World Wide Knit In Public Day, I did bring my knitting to graduation and finished the ribbing on my Valeria cardigan. I'm enjoying the mindless rhythm of this project, a much needed break after finishing my Fleurine (which I absolutely LOVE!). I always forget how rewarding it is to knit with Chunky yarn (I'm usually a slave to fingering weight) after just a few rows I have an inch and there are a lot less stitches involved. That said, I've managed to finish the first sleeve and am cruising along on the second one, I can't wait to show everyone tomorrow night! I'll be posting pictures so you can see how beautiful my sweater is, it's going to be another one of my favorites, I can already tell! Berroco has sent my all of my pattern requests to knit my Fall samples, I'll be starting a cute little vest called Leticia next. I simply couldn't resist the gorgeous shade of green that Vento comes in, so I will have another green garment. Seriously, can you really have too much green? I think NOT!

With all of the knitting I have lined up for myself, I wonder if I'll ever really make a dent in my "To Knit List." I get the worst feelings of being an overwhelmed, over achieved knitter that will eventually give me a permanent home in the looney bin. I suppose the silver lining of that is, I'll have my knitting, I always have my knitting. I'm sitting here mentally prioritizing my projects and it just makes my pulse race. It's a game of, how many projects can I juggle? I bought another pattern last week, have you seen the Spot Sweater? It's trending hard on Instagram, Andra was kind enough to introduce me to it, UGH!!! It's supposed to be a stash busting sweater, but of course you always end up have to buy something else to ultimately make it work. In my case, it wasn't stash AT ALL, it was yarn I had marked for an entirely different sweater, I even went so far as to change the contrast colors. Kathleen had pointed out that the colors were pretty much the same as my Fleurine, not a bad thing, but I'm really trying hard to brighten up my sweater colors. Wait until you see what I picked, it's completely outside my box, it only looks like a shade of pink lol...

We will be meeting Wednesday evening from 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch, the weather is going to be perfect again, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!

Katy
