So Much Gratitude...

Good Morning Everyone!

I really don't even know how/where to start, my emotions have been on complete overload since 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning. For someone who never has trouble expressing herself, I find myself at a loss for words because sometimes words just aren't enough. I promise I won't go all sappy on you, but I can't impress enough just how much Saturday meant to me, THANK-YOU!!!! A very special acknowledgement to Carrie, she is my rock, my solid, the one who gets me on board and keeps me on track, no easy task, I AM A HANDFUL AND STUBBORN. I dig my heels in and think everything is stupid (Sophie Scarf lol) She never argues with me, she just sits back, smiles and waits for me to see the light. The videos, 100% her, I hated the idea. I hate being in front of the camera I hate it I hate it I hate it. Turns out I'm pretty good at it lol. I've never met anyone like her and I'm quite certain the mold was smashed, she is simply the best and I'm blessed to have her. Thank-you Carrie for believing in me when I don't...A big thank-you to Mary for not only becoming a wonderful friend, but for surprising me with those DELICIOUS and equally ADORABLE cupcakes. As you all know, I LOVE MY SHOP, but Saturday was truly the cherry on top, thank-you to everyone, I couldn't do it without you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally finished my LYS shawl using Artyarns Merino Cloud, it is so pretty. I blocked it yesterday, it will be displayed this week, I can't wait for you to see it. I did add a little sparkle around the bottom, I've been influenced by Lucinda lol. I ordered a bag of Paillettes (sparkly sequined yarn) for another project and was told by Andra that I wouldn't need the entire bag. I've never knit with them before so I wanted to test it out and report back to you. Stop by to see how beautiful a little bling can be. I'm usually not one for sparkly stuff and I rarely get asked for it, I think we may be on to something. I will be using it to knit Berroco's Tartufo https://berroco.com/patterns/tartufo it will be held with Julie Asselin's Boucle, stay tuned. Speaking of holding two yarns together, the prize for the most interesting purchase on Saturday goes to Paula. She's going to knit Berroco's Lerici (pretty sure this is what she said) https://berroco.com/patterns/lerici using Berroco's Seaspun held with Make It Tweed, dying to see this!!!

Now that my LYS day knitting is completed, I've been able to resume knitting my Shifty https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/shifty-2 this is a fun pattern to work on. I love the ease of the stitch and the texture it creates. I also swatched my GORGEOUS Fino (Merino, Cashmere & Silk) by Julie Asselin to knit Isabell Kraemer's latest, Mabel https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mabel-22 If you're wondering about all this talk of Julie Asselin and who the heck she is, I'm making plans!! I will be hosting a trunk show for her, stay tuned for the dates. I met her recently while at Lucinda's shop, I'm familiar with her yarn but had never knit with it. I now have (2) sweater quantities that I am more than excited to work with. Julie invited me to attend this fabulous event called Like A Needle In A Haystack June 2nd, it's somewhere in Quebec, It is an outdoor venue on a CHEESE farm, YAY and will feature all types of artists, crafters, foodies, etc...I think it sounds fabulous, Julie will be there selling her yarns. I will get more information and of course share it with you, sounds fantastic to me!!!

We will be meeting tomorrow evening, Wednesday 6-7:30 for Stitch and Bitch, I hope you can join in the fun. Make it a great day and I'll see you soon!

Katy
